पुणे टेस्ट की पिच को लेकर मच रहे बवाल में अब ऑस्ट्रेलिया के पूर्व क्रिकेटर इयान चैपल ने भी इस मामले पर टिप्पणी की है. चैपल ने कहा कि मुझे लगता है कि कभी-कभी टेस्ट मैचों में इस तरह की भी पिच होनी चाहिए, जिससे मैच के नतीजों में कुछ मजा आए.
पिच पर क्या बोले चैपल
इयान चैपल ने कहा कि मैं ऐसा नहीं कह रहा हूं कि हर मैच की पिच ऐसी ही हो, लेकिन कभी-कभी गेंदबाजों को मदद करने वाली पिच तैयार होने में कोई बुराई नहीं है. हमेशा से ही बल्लेबाज गेंदबाजों पर हावी होते रहे हैं. चैपल ने कहा कि फ्लैट पिच पर टेस्ट मैच का मजा नहीं आता है, ऐसी पिचों से टेस्ट मैच में भी रिजल्ट की संभावना होती है.
ICC ने बताया था खराब पिच
गौरतलब है कि मंगलवार को आईसीसी ने पुणे की पिच को खराब रैंकिंग दी थी. पुणे में भारत और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बीच पहला टेस्ट मैच खेला गया था. पुणे मैच के मैच रैफरी क्रिस ब्रॉड ने मैच रैफरी पैनल की ओर से इस फैसले को बताया. आईसीसी के द्वारा प्रेस रिलीज़ में कहा गया था कि पिच को लेकर रिपोर्ट को बीसीसीआई को रिपोर्ट दे दी गई है, जिसका जवाब 14 दिनों में देना होगा. मैच रैफरी क्रिस ब्रॉड ने क्लॉज़ 3 के तहत अपनी रिपोर्ट आईसीसी को सौंपी थी.
