देहरादून (सू0वि0)। राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद ने शनिवार को भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी की पासिंग आउट परेड की समीक्षा की। इस अवसर पर उत्तराखंड के राज्यपाल लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरमीत सिंह (से. नि.) तथा मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी भी उपस्थित थे। शनिवार को राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने उत्तराखंड के भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी (आईएमए) से उत्तीर्ण हुए कैडेट कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया राष्ट्रपति ने इस दौरान उत्तीर्ण हुए छात्रों से कहा कि वे कड़ी मेहनत के कारण आदर्श बनकर उभरे देश के पहले प्रमुख रक्षा अध्यक्ष (सीडीएस) जनरल बिपिन रावत जैसे बेहतरीन और पूर्व छात्रों के कारण इस संस्थान को मिले प्रतिष्ठित दर्जे को बरकरार रखने में योगदान दें. रावत आईएमए के पूर्व छात्र थे और उन्होंने स्क्वॉड ऑफ ऑनरज्के साथ यहां से स्नातक किया था। अकादमी समग्र सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करने वाले कैडेट को यह प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार देती है. राष्ट्रपति ने जनरल रावत को एक असाधारण सैन्य नेतृत्व बताते हुए कहा कि उनके असामयिक निधन के कारण पैदा हुए खालीपन को अभी भरा नहीं जा सकता. राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने आईएमए में पासिंग आउट परेड के दौरान बतौर निरीक्षण अधिकारी कैडेट को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि देश रावत के असामयिक निधन के सदमे से उबर नहीं पाया है. उन्होंने कहा कि यदि रावत आज हमारे साथ यहां होते, तो वह खुशी और गर्व के साथ पासिंग आउट परेड को देख रहे होते। सादगी के साथ पूरा हुआ कार्यक्रम
जनरल रावत शनिवार को आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने वाले थे. उनके अंतिम संस्कार के मात्र एक दिन बाद आयोजित हुए इस कार्यक्रम को बहुत सादे तरीके से मनाया गया. जनरल रावत, उनकी पत्नी मधुलिका रावत और जनरल रावत के रक्षा सलाहकार ब्रिगेडियर एल एस लिद्दर का शुक्रवार शाम दिल्ली के बरार स्क्वेयर श्मशान घाट में पूरे सैन्य सम्मान के साथ अंतिम संस्कार किया गया. तमिलनाडु में बुधवार को सेना के Mi 17 V5 हेलीकॉप्टर के दुर्घटनाग्रस्त होने के कारण जनरल रावत, उनकी पत्नी और 11 अन्य रक्षा कर्मियों की मौत हो गई थी।

राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि क्षेत्रीय और वैश्विक स्तर पर सुरक्षा संबंधी माहौल जटिल है. उन्होंने कहा, शारीरिक और मानसिक रूप से मजबूत होना पर्याप्त नहीं है. सैन्य नेतृत्व के तौर पर आपको एक रणनीतिक सोच, परिस्थिति के अनुकूल ढलने में सक्षम स्वभाव और लचीलापन विकसित करना होगा, ताकि आप आगे आने वाली चुनौतियों से निपट सकें. आपका प्रशिक्षण आपको चुनौतियों से लड़ने में सक्षम बनाता है।
सीएम पुष्कर सिंह धामी भी रहे मौजूद
भारत से कुल 319 कैडेट और अन्य मित्र देशों के 68 कैडेट ने अकादमी से स्नातक किया और उन्हें अधिकारियों के रूप में अपने-अपने देशों की सेनाओं में शामिल किया गया. उत्तर प्रदेश से सर्वाधिक 45और उसके बाद उत्तराखंड के 43 कैडेट को सेनाओं में शामिल किया गया इस कार्यक्रम में उत्तराखंड के राज्यपाल लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल (सेवानिवृत्त) गुरमीत सिंह और मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी भी मौजूद थे और छात्रों को हर चुनौती से लड़ने का संदेश दिया।
