National Seminar on Science-Based Startups and Entrepreneurship to be Held in Ranikhet on March 24–25 Ranikhet, Almora | March 2026 A two-day National Seminar and Workshop on “Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship” will be organized in hybrid mode on March 24–25, 2026 at Swargiya Shri Jai Dutt Vaila Swatantrata Sangram Senani Government Post Graduate College, Ranikhet (Almora). The event is being hosted by the Department of Commerce of the college and is sponsored by Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST). The seminar aims to promote science-driven innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship while fostering meaningful dialogue on sustainable development. The event will bring together academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and students on a common platform to exchange ideas and explore collaborative opportunities. Key deliberations during the programme will cover sustainable technologies, bio-innovation, scientific solutions in agriculture and healthcare, the use of digital technologies through Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things, startup policies, investment models, and academia–industry collaboration. Academicians, research scholars, and students from across the country have been invited to present research papers. The last date for abstract submission is March 20, 2026, while full papers must be submitted by March 23, 2026. Participants can complete online registration and pay the required fee through digital modes. Prof. Pushpesh Pande (Principal) said that the seminar would strengthen innovative and entrepreneurial thinking among students and researchers while encouraging science-based solutions to real-world challenges. He added that such initiatives play a vital role in connecting youth from rural and hilly regions with the national innovation ecosystem. Seminar Convener and Head of the Department of Commerce Prof. P. N. Tewari said that the event would provide an excellent opportunity to integrate research with entrepreneurship. He emphasized that discussions on startup policies, investment frameworks, and commercialization of research would inspire young innovators to move forward with confidence. The national seminar will be conducted on the college campus with expected participation from academic institutions, industry experts, and researchers from across the country.
