पौड़ी। खिर्सू ब्लाक के स्वीत गांव में उद्यान विभाग पौड़ी द्वारा करीब 5 हेक्टेयर में लीची के पेड़ लगाएगा। इसके लिए विभाग ने क्षेत्र का भ्रमण कर गुरुवार को विभिन्न जगहों का जायजा लिया। जिला उद्यान अधिकारी डा.नरेंद्र कुमार ने बताया कि मानसून में विभिन्न गांवों में पौधरोपण किया जाएगा। करीब 250 हेक्टयर भूमि पर पौधरोपण करने की योजना बनाई है। पर्यावरण संरक्षण को लेकर विभाग द्वारा गोष्ठियों के माध्यम से ग्रामीणों को जागरूक किया जा रहा है। गडोली, चराकोट, उड्डा, नेगण्या, खिर्सू, पोखरीखेत में किसानों की भूमि पर पौधरोपण कर पर्यावरण संरक्षण की जानकारी दी गई है। जल्द ही स्वीत में मनरेगा से करीब 5 हेक्टेयर भूमि पर लीची का पौधरोपण किया जाएगा। इधर, वृक्ष मित्र डा.त्रिलोक चंद्र सोनी गांव-गांव जाकर ग्रामीणों को पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति जागरूक कर रहे हैं। डा. सोनी का कहना है कि प्रदेश का अधिकतर भूभाग पर्वतीय हैं जो अपनी नैसर्गिक खूबसूरती व पर्यटन स्थलों को लिए हुए हैं और देश विदेश के पर्यटकों को अपनी ओर आकृषित करते हैं। यहां पेड़- पौधें, पहाडिय़ा़,घाटियां,बुग्याल व पर्यटन स्थल क्षेत्र के लोगों की आर्थिकी के स्रोत हैं। इनकी सुन्दरता बनाएं रखना हम सब का कर्तव्य हैं। बताया कि वह इन दिनों गांव गांव जाकर लोगों को पर्यावरण संरक्षण,संवर्द्धन, पौधरोपण, जल, जंगल,जीवन व वन्यजीव बचाने, जंगलों में आगजनी घटनाओं को रोकने, पॉलीथीन प्रदूषण मुक्त वातावरण बनाने के साथ ही बेटी बचाओ-बेटी पढ़ाओ, बालिका शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने,गरीब निर्धन बच्चों को शिक्षा की मुख्यधारा से जोडऩे, महिला जागरूकता के लिए प्रेरित कर रहे है।
