देहरादून:-*जनपद देहरादून में आये दिन वाहनों की लापरवाही से होते सड़क हादसों और उनमें होती मौतों का आंकड़ा साल दर साल बढ़ता जा रहा है वहीं *अब पैदल यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए बनाये गए फुटपाथ भी हादसों को निमंत्रण दे रहे है। बहल चौक से ईसी रोड की तरफ आते हुए क्रॉस रोड मॉल से लगते हुए फुटपाथ यूँ तो आम जनता की सुविधा के लिए बनाये गए है जिसमे से रोजाना कई लोग आते जाते है परंतु कुछ जगहों पर लोहे के अधकटे डंडे फुटपाथ पर किसी अनहोनी की ओर इशारा कर रहे है। गौर करने वाली बात है कि सड़क से पुलिस मुख्यालय व सचिवालय मात्र 200-500मीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है और संबंधित विभाग द्वारा इस सड़क की कोई सुध-बुध नही ली गयी है। अख़बारों में आये दिन ही सड़कों पर खुले गड्ढों, मेन होल के ढक्कनों से होते हादसों से अखबार भर रहता है और कई अखबारों द्वारा संबंधित विभागों को इस बारे में चेताया भी जाता है पर नतीजा जस का तस रहता है, और अब तो शहर को मानो आदत से हो गयी है की जब तक कोई हादसा न हो तब तक नही जागेंगे। इस मुद्दे पर भी गौर करने वाली बात होगी की आखिर कब विभाग नींद से जागेगा या हमे इस बारे में कोई जानकारी नही कहकर अपना पल्ला झाड़ेगा।
