चम्पावत (संवाददाता)। लोकतंत्र के सबसे बड़े पर्व में महिलाओं ने बढ़चढ़ कर भागीदारी की। पहाड़ से लेकर मैदान तक महिलाओं ने जमकर मतदान किया। जिले में 62.38 प्रतिशत महिलाओं ने वोट दिया। लोहाघाट विधानसभा में 59.54 प्रतिशत तो चम्पावत विधानसभा में 65.28 महिलाओं ने वोटिंग की। इसके अलावा जिले के मैदानी क्षेत्र टनकपुर और बनबसा में भी वोट देने में महिलाएं आगे रहीं। मैदानी क्षेत्र के 110 बूथ में 70.80 प्रतिशत महिलाओं ने वोट देकर दमदार मौजूदगी दर्ज कराई। बीते गुरुवार को हुए लोकसभा चुनाव में वोट देने के लिहाज से महिलाओं ने पुरुषों को पीछे छोड़ दिया। वोट देने को लेकर महिलाओं में खासा उत्साह देखा गया।
